1. Program Description
Program Name: SMScribe
SMScribe is an SMS-based lecture transcription service. Users submit audio files via text message and receive transcription results, processing updates, account notifications, and service-related messages through SMS. All interaction with the service occurs via text message.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use SMScribe. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. SMS Messaging Terms
By completing registration on SMScribe.com, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from SMScribe, including transcription results, status notifications, and account updates.

Message Frequency: Varies based on your usage and submissions.
To Opt Out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages.
For Help: Reply HELP to any message or email support@smscribe.com.
Supported carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, and MetroPCS. Carrier support may vary.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
SMScribe offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selection at checkout.
- Subscriptions begin immediately upon purchase and renew automatically at the end of each billing period
- You will be charged at the rate displayed at the time of purchase
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Downgrading or canceling does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current period
All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change with reasonable notice.
5. Refund Policy
All purchases are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, credits, or prorated amounts for partial billing periods, unused features, or cancellations. Please review your plan carefully before subscribing.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@smscribe.com within 7 days of the charge.
6. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method on the applicable billing schedule.
SMScribe does not store your full credit card details. Your payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with their terms of service and privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree to use SMScribe only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for all content you submit and agree not to:
- Submit audio containing content that violates any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service
- Use the service in any way that could harm other users or third parties
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any audio you submit. By submitting audio to SMScribe, you grant us a limited license to process and transcribe that audio solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you.
All SMScribe software, branding, and content are the property of SMScribe and may not be copied or reused without permission.
9. Disclaimers
SMScribe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcriptions will be 100% accurate. Accuracy may vary based on audio quality, accents, background noise, and other factors.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMScribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of SMScribe after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
